Khand or Khandsari sugar is also known as Muscovado sugar or brown sugar. It is cane sugar which is unrefined with the molasses still present in it. It is similar to wet sand in texture and the presence of molasses gives it a dark brown shade. It is a much healthier alternative to white sugar. Very good for health.
It can be used literally in any dish, in place of regular processed sugar. Unlike processed sugar, due to molasses, all the nutrients remains the part of muscovado sugar. At the same time, zero chemicals are used to clean & prepare it.
Khand is rich in nutrients such as calcium, minerals, fiber, iron, vitamins, and magnesium. Beneficial for digestion, having high fiber content which helps in the creation of stools in the bowels.
